We, the undersigned members and supporters of LakeRidge Country Club, respectfully request immediate corporate engagement and a reinvestment plan to restore and enhance our club.  

Over the years, LakeRidge has served as more than just a golf course; it has been a vital gathering place for families, friends, and the broader community. It has provided opportunities for young athletes to develop their skills, fostered connections among neighbors, and preserved longstanding traditions.  

Regrettably, our club has experienced a decline in maintenance, facilities, and overall investment. These issues affect not only our enjoyment as members but also the long-term value and reputation of the property. Without substantial reinvestment, there is a risk that LakeRidge will lose its role as a community hub and its contribution to the prestige of the Arcis Golf brand. Recent updates have primarily consisted of deferred maintenance rather than meaningful improvements.  

Lubbock continues to grow, with numerous long-term investments being made by other local courses. To remain competitive, significant investment and revitalization are required from Arcis. Continued neglect and deferred maintenance threaten the sustainability and future success of LakeRidge.  

We respectfully request a renewed commitment from the corporate leadership to address the following areas:  

•             Facilities & Equipment: Improve the reliability of golf carts, invest in the clubhouse, and restore basic amenities that have been neglected over time.  

•             Course Conditions: Address drainage issues, manage overgrowth, and respond effectively to encroachments by homeowners onto the course.  

•             Management: Strengthen local management support with the resources necessary to effectively address member concerns, ensuring commitments are fulfilled.  

•             Membership Experience: Enhance social event offerings and stabilize services affected by high employee turnover and infrastructure issues, such as recent closures caused by equipment failures.  

These issues prompt an important question: does the current state of LakeRidge align with the standards and values associated with the Arcis brand? Many of us have experienced other Arcis-managed properties across the country, and LakeRidge does not currently reflect the reputation we associate with Arcis Golf. Additionally, reports of reinvestment and new acquisitions at other clubs highlight disparities in investment and attention.  

Furthermore, members and sponsors have generously contributed funds through the Rock Fund, under the understanding that Arcis would match these contributions for meaningful reinvestment. While members have upheld their commitments, Arcis has not fulfilled its purported obligations. Transparency regarding the reasons for this and clarity on the allocation and use of funds are essential to rebuilding trust.  

As members investing in the club, we respectfully request an open forum with Arcis Corporate leadership to discuss the future vision and plans for LakeRidge. Direct communication from leadership is vital to restoring confidence and aligning expectations.  

The unwavering trust and support you championed during the COVID pandemic, through limited communication, has begun to wane. We urge you, as the club’s owner, to honor the legacy of LakeRidge and ensure its future by allocating the necessary resources for meaningful reinvestment or provide an additional path forward through other avenues.
