Having seen a continual degradation of peace and order in our country, I, like many others, believe that a step towards restoring this missing peace and wholesome unity lies in reintroducing prayer into grade schools. Our nation, as historically recorded, was founded on principles that included a reverence for and dependence on a higher power. We believe that the eradication of prayer from our grade schools has contributed to the moral decline and affected harmony in our society.

Numerous studies demonstrate the positive impacts of spiritual practices, like prayer, on individual development and overall quality of life. A Pew Research Center survey revealed that over half of the American population (55%) agrees that religious foundations, including prayer, provide a strong moral guideline for life. This supports the idea that incorporating prayer in school could help mold the character of our future generation.
