This year GT parking has made it illegal to park on campus after 4 without purchasing an evening/weekend pass. This denies students who live off campus a safe means to get home. Yes, students - broke college students who are already shelling thousands of dollars to the school. The school replies with the Stingerette pick up system that requires a student to stand outside, no matter the time of the night or the weather to wait; keep in mind GT is in the middle of Atlanta and is an open campus -anyone can come through -and waits can be longer than 45 minutes. They just instituted this rule as two student housing buildings have opened this year. Sign this petition to tell GT they've already taken enough of our money this is an issue of student saftey. Imagine you or your child finishing studying at 2 am and standing outside waiting for a ride because they just couldn't buy the pass. Think about all the emails we get monthly about muggings and students held at gunpoint! Is this really a decision you are comfortble having GT make with only their pocketbooks in mind?
