Every morning used to be my favorite time at Brandon High School. It was the time I could catch up with friends, share our stories, or just relax before starting our school day. However, that time was taken away from me and many others because of a few isolated incidents where individuals decided to engage in fights in the courtyard.

Because of this, drastic and unfair changes were made to our school's morning duty and procedures policy, severely limiting our freedom and opportunities to meet with our friends. These new rules are not only restricting but do not address the root of the problem. As students, we believe reactive policies that penalize the majority for the actions of a few are not the solution.

In addition, the suspension of Kennedi seems harsh and unjust. As a close friend of Kennedi, I know their character and believe their suspension was not justified. Moreover, we are concerned about the conduct of JLee and believe their actions have contributed to this unfair atmosphere at our school.

We are calling for a review and an amendment to these policies to restore our previous morning routines. This will provide a more welcoming and less restrictive environment for all students. Furthermore, we request the immediate reinstatement of Kennedi and a review of JLee’s role in this situation to ensure fairness in school administration.
