I'm writing today because my daughter, like many others, has poured her heart and soul into middle school wrestling. She has wrestled for Shawnee Mission School District and will again this year. This dedication was meant to culminate in the much-anticipated Middle School Wrestling District Tournament. However, we were all taken aback when the tournament was abruptly canceled by our school district's administration, leaving our young athletes disheartened and confused.
