I, a loyal and long-time consumer of Juanita chips, come before you today with a deep culinary grievance. As any true chip aficionado in Lewis County, WA, will be quick to assert, Juanita's once had the best chips on the market however now they are like any other cheap chip. They do not have the crunch of the taste they are like over baked or stale. 

It cannot be overstated how impactful this unasked-for change has been. It is believed that a snack brand's success is directly correlated to its taste consistency. In fact, according to the Consumer Research Company, 60% of snack consumers prefer consistent and familiar tastes to new ones (Consumer Research Company, 2020). Yet, Juanita's has elected to go against this trend, to the disenchantment of customers in and beyond Lewis County.

Continuity is a valued aspect of many successful companies. This can be directly linked to the philosophy of maintaining original recipes. McDonald's, for instance, has kept their classic Big Mac recipe unchanged since it was first introduced in 1967 (McDonald's Official Archives, 2020).

With the above mentioned, I plead that Juanita's consider this outcry and reinstate the original recipe. Because we believe in the power of classic flavors and traditions, we call for a return to the original recipe that forged a bond between us and our beloved chips. Please support this mission and urge Juanita's to bring back the taste we've all come to know and love. Sign the petition now!
