Reinstate the Original Name of Stamford, CT tallest building to Trump Parc Stamford

Reinstate the Original Name of Stamford, CT tallest building to Trump Parc Stamford
The Issue
I am compelled by a sense of fairness to voice out for what I believe is an injustice to President Donald Trump. Connecticuts own iconic building in Stamford, Connecticut, known and appreciated for over 15 treasured years as 'Trump Parc Stamford', was unnecessarily rechristened as 'Park Tower Stamford' in 2021 owing to what I believe to be political influences within the city and state. In my view, this change does not uphold the spirit of commemorating President Trump's significant contributions to the project and our state. With him being a cardinal part of the building project, it's fair that its name reflects his notable involvement.
Statistics serve to illustrate the widespread dismay over this name change. Yet, this isn't just about numbers. It is about acknowledging the input of a key figure in the history of this esteemed edifice and within the Great State of Connecticut. The renaming suggests a dishonor and disregard for the contributions of President Trump. We must remember that structures and their names act like silent artifacts of history, symbolizing the stories of their making. Distortion of such inscriptions can seed inadvertent or advertent erasure of vital fragments of history from our collective memories and serves to distort history for future generations.
I appeal to the good judgment and fairness in you to support this petition. Let's right the wrongs. It's high time we reverted to the original name, 'Trump Parc Stamford', acknowledging and honoring the contributions of the 45th and 47th President of the United States of America, Donald John Trump, to our great city and our great state. Your signature can make a difference. Please, sign this petition to reinstate the original name of Stamford, CT tallest building to Trump Parc Stamford.
