I am a resident of Montague, MI, along with my family and friends. We have always cherished the car parade and show that our town used to host. This event was not just an entertainment source for us; it was a tradition that brought our community together. Unfortunately, this tradition has been discontinued.

The car parade and show were more than just events; they were part of our identity as residents of Montague. They served as a platform for us to showcase our love for automobiles while fostering community spirit. The discontinuation of these events has left a void in our hearts.

According to the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association), car shows contribute significantly to local economies by attracting tourists who spend money on lodging, food, gas, and more (SEMA 2017). By reinstating the car parade/show in Montague, we can boost local businesses while reviving a beloved tradition.

We urge the city council of Montague to reconsider their decision about discontinuing these events. Let's bring back the joyous moments we once shared as proud members of this community through these events.
