Subject: Request for the Return of Roosevelt Roads Naval Base to Ceiba, Puerto Rico

Dear President Trump, I respectfully write to request the return of Roosevelt Roads Naval Base to its original location in Ceiba, Puerto Rico. This request is made with urgency, not only due to its strategic importance for the national defense of the United States but also in response to growing threats in the region and the increasing illicit activities affecting our island.

In recent years, the regime of dictator Nicolás Maduro has made open threats to invade Puerto Rico, which presents a significant risk to the security of the island and the United States. Additionally, Puerto Rico is facing an alarming increase in drug trafficking, which has become a major challenge for local and federal authorities. The presence of Roosevelt Roads Naval Base in Ceiba could be a key asset in mitigating these risks, strengthening our ability to respond to external threats and helping combat organized crime and the drug trade affecting the region. The reopening of Roosevelt Roads would not only enhance our national defense but also serve as an economic engine for the region, generating jobs and development opportunities in one of Puerto Rico's most underserved areas. As a Former Interagency Emergency Coordinator of the Government of Puerto Rico, I have witnessed firsthand the security challenges and urgent needs facing our island. I am confident that this step would contribute to improving security and stability in the Caribbean, while reinforcing the United States' commitment to the safety of Puerto Rico and its citizens.

I deeply appreciate your attention to this critical request for the well-being and security of our nation, and I remain at your disposal to discuss any further details on this vital matter.

 Sincerely, Somos Puerto Rico.
