As a resident of the greater Philadelphia area, I am deeply affected by the discontinuation of Qatar Airways' service from Philadelphia to Doha. This change has left me and many others with no choice but to use American Airlines, which provides an inferior experience compared to Qatar Airways. The quality of service is noticeably poorer, with cramped leg spaces making long-haul flights uncomfortable and stressful.

Qatar Airways was awarded "Airline of the Year" by Skytrax in 2019 and 2021 for its exceptional services (Skytrax World Airline Awards). It is renowned for its spacious seating arrangements, high-quality meals, and excellent customer service. In stark contrast, American Airlines has consistently ranked lower in these areas.

The absence of Qatar Airways on this route not only affects passengers but also impacts economic relations between Philadelphia and Doha. Prior to the discontinuation, this route facilitated business travel and tourism between these two cities.

We urge relevant authorities at both ends - The City of Philadelphia Division of Aviation and Hamad International Airport Authority - as well as executives at Qatar Airways to reconsider their decision. We believe that reinstating this route will greatly benefit passengers like myself who value comfort during travel while also boosting economic ties between our cities.
