Like many of you, this case is deeply personal to me. President Rodrigo Duterte was unlawfully detained by the International Criminal Court (ICC) without due process. This is beyond a violation of a single individual’s rights; it's a threat to the principles of justice that our society is built upon.

As the former President of the Philippines, Duterte dedicated his term to tackling pressing issues such as drug trafficking and corruption. Regardless of opinions on his methods, we must respect the due process that every individual is entitled to. The arrest without due process by the ICC flies in the face of democracy and justice.
