We lost our beloved football coach at C.B. East, Coach Moose.  

Our sons had the privilege of playing football under Coach Mike "Moose" Moosbrugger at Central Bucks East High School. Through their time on the team, they not only developed their athletic skills but, more importantly, grew as individuals under his guidance. Coach Moose taught them the essence of teamwork, resilience, dedication and leadership, alongside providing essential mental health support in these times of mental health crisis among teens. His dedication to fostering character development in young athletes is unmatched, making his presence on and off the field invaluable.

Sadly, Coach Moose was unfairly terminated, after standing up for his students during a particularly brutal game.  He was terminated by the school's principal with no explanation to our community, despite dozens of emails and messages requesting answers.  Furthermore, Moose had no opportunity to explain or defend himself, no hearing whatsoever.  Our community deserves answers and Moose deserves another chance.  Our school has lost not just a sports coach but a true mentor and inspiration for our children. His commitment extended far beyond football; he was a mental health spokesperson who advocated tirelessly for the well-being of all his students, helping create a supportive and enriching environment at Central Bucks East High School.  We want to bring Moose back!  Please support our petition.

Statistics show that mental health support in schools leads to better academic performance and personal growth for students. Recent studies show that students with access to a supportive coach or mentor are less likely to experience stress and anxiety associated with school life.

In a time when the mental health of our youth is at risk, losing a mentor like Coach Moose is not just a loss to the school but to the entire community. This petition implores the school board to right this wrong and reinstate Coach Moose. His removal not only deprives our students of a monumental role model but also hinders the development of young individuals who benefit significantly from his guidance.
