We, the undersigned students, alumni, and supporters of Kansas State University, hereby petition for the reinstatement of Nae'qwan Tomlin to the Kansas State University Men’s Basketball Team. Recognizing that Mr. Tomlin has completed the necessary legal proceedings and served his appropriate punishment, we believe it is time for him to resume his rightful place on the team.

We express our concern regarding President Richard Linton's interference in matters that traditionally fall under the jurisdiction of the athletic department and coaching staff. While we respect the university's commitment to maintaining a high standard of conduct, we believe punitive measures concerning athletes should be handled by those with expertise in athletics.

Nae'qwan Tomlin's demonstrated remorse and commitment to personal growth further support our plea for his reinstatement. We trust that the athletic department and coaching staff can effectively guide his rehabilitation and ensure his continued positive development as both an athlete and a student.

We urge President Richard Linton to reconsider his decision and respect the established processes for handling such matters within the university. Let us come together to give Nae'qwan Tomlin the opportunity to contribute positively to the men’s basketball team and, by extension, to the Kansas State University community.
