As of April 24th, Mr. Moran has been reinstated as the principal of CHS. Thank you to all who signed/contributed money to this cause. 

Former Principal Mr. Michael A. Moran took a leave of absence for the remainder of this school year and will not be back for the 2023-2024 school year as a result of the Board of Education’s lack of ability to take responsibility for the recent events that have occurred. As a member of the Connetquot High School Community for the past four years, I can attest to the fact that he has always prioritized the students and their well-being. He handled COVID-19 graciously and gave seniors the best graduation experience possible during that hard time, and he has always made sure that the students came first. He always makes time to listen to the students and their concerns, and he is extremely humble with the position of power that he had as principal. He always tried to make the atmosphere at Connetquot feel safe and welcoming and not intimidating or a place of fear. The fact that the BOE is blaming him for this school becoming less respectable is simply false. He was just doing his job by listening to their policies, and he should not be punished for listening to the BOE. He has morals and has always had good intentions for this school and the students. Please help the Connetquot Community reinstate Mr. Moran as the principal at Connetquot HS.
