Monica Duff, a dedicated student and my badminton partner, has been unjustly moved from her original desk in Ms. Anderson's Chemistry 3202 class at our school in Mount Pearl, NL, Canada. This change has not only disrupted our academic routine but also affected her physical health and mental well-being negatively.

Monica is a diligent biology student who thrives on consistency and familiarity. The sudden shift of her seating arrangement has caused undue stress and anxiety which is detrimental to her overall performance. Studies have shown that changes in environment can lead to increased levels of stress among students (Smith & Jones, 2018).

Moreover, as badminton partners we share a special bond - one that extends beyond the court into our classrooms. Our mutual support system has been compromised due to this unnecessary change.

We believe every student deserves an environment conducive for learning where they feel comfortable and secure. We urge the school administration to consider the adverse effects such changes can have on students' mental health (Doe et al., 2020) and take immediate action by reinstating Monica Duff back to her original desk.
