Reinstate Kite Flying Safely: Ban Big Kites and Implement Motor Bike Safety Rods.

Reinstate Kite Flying Safely: Ban Big Kites and Implement Motor Bike Safety Rods.
The Issue
Kite flying is much more than a mere pastime; it is a passionate sport embraced by over 80% of the population in Punjab, Pakistan and Other Provinces. It is open in KPK, Sindh and Blochistan. It serves as a source of economic sustenance for millions of families who create or sell kites. However, it is banned in Punjab for over 15 years and government is not working on safety measures, but dimming the enjoyment and financial opportunities brought by kite flying. With your support, we aim to bring this lovely tradition back, but with crucial safety measures.
The primary issue revolves around large kites and thick strings, which, despite making for a visually captivating spectacle, have also contributed to safety hazards. If we can mandate a size limit for kites and materials used for strings, kite flying can still be enjoyed with far less or no risk like it is being enjoyed in India. Implementing bike safety measures, specifically installing safety rods, can also significantly reduce the occurrence of accidents often associated with kite strings.
We urge policymakers to consider modifying the rules rather than enforcing a total ban. We hope our passion for kite flying does not have to come at the expense of safety. Together, we can endure in the enjoyment of this sport while simultaneously ensuring the safety of everyone. Please sign this petition and join our mission to safely reinstate kite flying.
