Reinstate Jon Jacobson at Diamond Peak

The Issue

We, the undersigned students, friends, and co-workers of Jon Jacobson believe he was wrongfully terminated and should be reinstated.

Jon is an excellent instructor both in terms of his technical knowledge as well as his ability to work with people, and convey that knowledge.

In our interactions with him, he has always and without exception conducted himself in a professional and ethical manner. We have never experienced or heard of him posing any threat, physically or otherwise to any customer, employee or student at the ski school at Diamond Peak. To the contrary, he has always been helpful and exhibited a positive attitude and exemplary behavior while he was at the resort.

Jon's termination would be a significant loss for the program, would reflect poorly on the resort, and would negatively affect the sense of community which is so important to Diamond Peak. His unfair and unwarranted termination will certainly negatively and unfairly affect his reputation and career as a ski instructor and his overall future employment, and will further reflection poorly on Diamond Peak and affect its ability to recruit and retain talented instructors.

For the foregoing reasons we are requesting that Jon be reinstated.
