Scorpios, established in 1968, is not just Charlotte's longest-standing LGBTQ+ club but also an integral part of our city's rich, diverse cultural tapestry. Over the years on each Saturday night, it has become a vibrant, inclusive space for people of all backgrounds to come together and enjoy the unique blend of Hip Hop music on its dance floors. However, recently, this essential part of Scorpios' identity has been taken away. We are calling on the club's management to realize the importance of this music to both its regular patrons and the wider Charlotte community. Music is much more than sound; it is a vital unifying force, sparking connections amongst people of different cultures, backgrounds, and lifestyles. So, let's continue to celebrate our diversity and promote inclusion through music in our beloved club Scorpios.
