Like many of those who will sign this petition, I personally experience the disappointing quality of school lunches daily. It's not only about the unappealing appearance and taste, but also considerable health implications. By swapping fresh fruit and vegetables for highly processed meals, schools are failing to nourish their students properly. Lacking in essential nutrients, these lunches underperform in fueling the learning and development process, and can contribute to unhealthy eating habits in the long run.

According to research from the ministry of health, healthier eating can lead to higher test scores, better school attendance, and improved behavior. With over 1000 schools participating in the National School Lunch Program every day, it's vitally important our schools provide them with healthy meals.

We urge education policy makers,  to commit to reinstating healthy and nutritious school lunches. By serving fresh and wholesome foods, schools will be investing in the learner's physical health, academic performance, and long-term well-being.

 Every child is entitled to this governments respect, as we are the future, investing in us now will ultimately benefit the entire country.
