Caprice and I have always enjoyed our gym class, a place where we could exercise, have fun, and feel safe. But recently, everything changed. We were thrust into a situation we didn't deserve because of threats made against us by another student. Instead of addressing the situation by enforcing consequences on the individual responsible, the school administration chose to relocate us to a different gym class, disrupting our routine and sense of safety.

This decision has not only affected our daily lives but has sent a dangerous message that victims, rather than aggressors, are penalized. Our intention by launching this petition is to shine a light on administrative failures and urge the school to reconsider their decision.

The current policy inadvertently encourages a culture where threatening behavior is seemingly permissible, as no substantial penalties are imposed on those who initiate such actions. This not only affects Caprice and I  but potentially impacts other students who could find themselves in similar situations in the future.

By reinstating Caprice  and I  into our original gym class, the school will not only restore a sense of normalcy for us but also set a precedent that students who face threats can find justice and support from their school community.

We call upon the school authorities to investigate the incident comprehensively and take appropriate disciplinary action against the perpetrator. Let us focus on fostering a secure and equitable environment for all students.
