As a child, opening a Spongebob theme popsicle and seeing the playful gumball eyes staring back was a joy and a cherished memory. For many of us, this was more than a treat, it was a piece of our childhood, a touch of whimsy in the mundane. Popsicle company, however, redesigned Spongebob's eyes, replacing the memorable gumballs with chocolate eyes.

Unfortunately, this change has dampened the magic. The sweet, hard gumballs added not only to the appeal but also to the taste and pleasure of eating these popsicles. Popsicle, which sold an average of 5 million units annually in the U.S.(source: Market Research), has received numerous complaints since the change. Consumers, both young and old, are disillusioned by the loss of their nostalgic treat.

We ask Popsicle to revert back to the old design and bring back the gumball eyes on Spongebob popsicles.
