The Issue

Once a proud Ringgold Ram, My son is heartbroken, and as a parent, I feel his pain every day. Recently, my 5-year-old was told he could no longer play football, despite having done nothing wrong. We've invested in this sport financially, paid for everything needed, and with the help of our community, we've fundraised to support his journey in football. Now, everything has come to a halt because of an incident involving his uncle, something my son was completely unaware of as it happened while he was on the field.

For him, football isn't just a game; it's a place where he's made valuable connections and friendships. With these bonds abruptly severed, it's heartbreaking to see my son cry each day, feeling like he's lost his friends. The incident that led to this decision was unrelated to my son's actions, yet he's the one bearing the consequences through no fault of his own.

In the small community of Donora, PA, football plays a significant role in bringing people together, providing kids an opportunity for growth, teamwork, and joy. Taking football away from my son not only affects him emotionally but also disrupts the support system he has found in his teammates, coaches, and friends. I urge the decision-makers to consider the impact of this situation on a young child, who only wants to continue doing what he loves, alongside those who care about him.

Reinstating my son's ability to play football will not only bring joy back to his life but also restore the connections and sense of belonging he holds dear. Please join us in fighting for my son's opportunity to return to the field and continue pursuing his passion.
