As a fellow seller on the Whatnot platform, I’m writing to express deep concern over the recent banning of Dunnwitt from the selling community. His removal has left many of us confused, frustrated, and concerned about the fairness of enforcement policies on the platform. Buyers who supported Dunnwitt are also upset and disheartened by his sudden absence.

Whatnot thrives because of its diverse and passionate community of independent sellers, but recent actions threaten that sense of trust and fairness. Dunnwitt, a five-star seller with a strong reputation and loyal following, was banned over a high volume of refunds—many of which stemmed from USPS-related shipping issues outside of his control.

To be clear, Dunnwitt took full responsibility for the issues that were within his power to correct. When problems arose, he responded quickly and professionally, working with buyers to resolve them and maintain the high level of customer service he’s known for. This was not a case of negligence or avoidance—it was a seller doing his best under challenging circumstances.

What’s most troubling is that this was the first major issue Dunnwitt had experienced on the platform. Instead of offering support or guidance, Whatnot chose to remove a respected seller who had previously maintained a stellar record.

Sellers like Dunnwitt are vital to Whatnot’s community and to the local economy. According to the Small Business Administration, small businesses like his are essential drivers of innovation, employment, and community growth.

We are asking Whatnot to reconsider its decision and reinstate Dunnwitt. Please sign this petition to support Dunnwitt and stand up for a more just and consistent approach to seller accountability on Whatnot. Any and all support is appreciated.
