However, we face a significant obstacle. South African gamers find it hard to reach their full potential due to the removal of Dota 2 ranked servers in our region. This not only disrupts our gaming experience but also stunts the growth of talent in South Africa, preventing us from showcasing our skills on a global platform.

According to eSports Earnings, as of 2020, Dota 2 holds the record for awarding the highest pool prizes at multiple eSports tournaments (source: eSports Earnings, 2020). This illustrates how deeply Dota 2 is respected and recognized amongst other competitive games, and why it's crucial to have accessible ranked servers.

By reinstating Dota 2 ranked servers in South Africa, we will not only quench the huge thirst that competitive gamers like myself have but also provide South Africa's gaming community with a fair chance to compete on a global scale.
