The 2020 announcement of a reboot sparked excitement across the gaming world, signaling a bold return for a franchise that deserved a modern reimagining.

The involvement of The Initiative and Crystal Dynamics only raised expectations, as did the promises of a narrative-rich, next-gen espionage experience.
