To the Princeville 326 School District Board of education, District Administration, and the Peoria County Sheriff’s Department:

We, the undersigned parents, students, staff, and community members of Princeville, respectfully submit this petition to formally request the reinstatement of Deputy Strauss as the School Resource Officer for Princeville Unit School District #326.

Deputy Strauss has been an integral part of the Princeville 326. She is deeply respected and genuinely loved by the students families, faculty, and community she serves. Her presence has gone far beyond law enforcement-she built trust, ensured safety, mentored students, and created a positive supportive school environment. 

Deputy Strauss’s dedication and impact are clearly demonstrated by her nomination for school Resource Officer of the year, where she was recognized as one of the top 12 School Resource officers in the state of Illinois. This honor reflects not only professional excellence, but also her commitment to student well being, community engagement, and proactive school safety. 

For many students, Deputy Strauss represents consistency, protection, and compassion. She knows our students by name, understands the unique need of our schools, and has earned the trust of both the district and the Peoria County community. Simply put, Deputy Strauss is Princeville 326.

We believe her removal is not in the best interest of our students, our schools, or our community. We respectfully urge the Princeville CUSD #326 Board of Education, District Administration, and the Peoria County Sheriffs Department to listen to the voices of the families and community members who are to directly impacted and to take immediate action to reinstate Deputy Strauss as the School Resource Officer at Princeville #326.
