Reinstate Cursive Writing in School Curriculum

The Issue

In recent years, the teaching of cursive writing has been phased out of many schools' curriculums. This decision was made with the advent of technology and the belief that typing skills are more relevant to today's world. However, research from The National Association of Elementary School Principals shows that learning cursive can improve brain development in areas of thinking, language, and memory. Furthermore, it fosters fine motor skills and boosts self-confidence among students (NAESP). We believe that these benefits are too significant to ignore. Therefore, we urge educational authorities to reinstate cursive writing in our school curriculum for a well-rounded education system.
