Sister Kendra, a 13-Year Customer Assistant at the Chicago Transit Authority needs our support to help her fight for her and others' jobs right now. Simply put, she was put "out of service" or laid off simply for fighting cancer.
 

• She was forced to do a "safety tour" a year earlier than the require 2-year cylcle (which gives her barely enough time to heal from the chemotherapy port in her chest which will pop out if she climbs a rail car stirrup).
• Climbing rail car stirrups is nowhere in the job description or CTA Standard Operating Procedures.
• She has exhausted FMLA privileges.
• The CTA refuses to accommodate her like they do for friends of managers and union officials.
