At the June 12th Denver School Board meeting the board voted to NOT renew Coach Abby Fliehler's track contract for the upcoming season. I am creating this petition to gather support and urge the board and Denver administration to change their decision.

Coach Fliehler's knowledge of track a well as her own experiences have helped numerous athletes become faster while also teaching us to support each other as teammates. Over the past few years our program has seen much success with Drake participants, winning a district championship, fourth place team finishes at state in 2022 and 2023, and numerous state medals. 

Athletes that have ran for Coach Fliehler currently hold the following school records:

• Shot Put
• Discus
• 200 meter dash
• 400 meter hurdles
• 4x100
• 4x200
• 4x400
• Sprint Medley
• Distance Medley

In the past 4 years she has had 4 athletes commit to go on and run track at the collegiate level.

In 2022 and 2023 she was named IATC 2A At-Large Coach of the year

She has many years of experience as an assistant coach at Wartburg, where they have won numerous National Championships.

Personally her guidance and training has helped to shape me into a strong confident woman with a desire to continue competing in college.
