Please support this petition because Coach Cory Sammons, a beloved coach and NYC institution, has been removed from the teaching roster at Wollman Rink, without cause. Losing Coach Cory Sammons will significantly diminish the Wollman Rink community experience, reputation and service to parents and youth in NYC.
There is no greater coach at Wollman Rink than Coach Cory Sammons. Cory is dedicated to Wollman Rink and puts the interest of his students and the programs above all else. Cory has promoted the programs by encouraging his students to participate in all that Wollman has to offer. Coach Cory’s love for the sport, his love of teaching and his fierce dedication to the safety, wellbeing, enjoyment and advancement of his students is unparalleled and has contributed to the continued success and reputation of the Wollman Rink Skating Program.
Coach Cory Sammons has spent the past 10+ years building a stellar reputation as one of the top instructors/hockey coaches at Wollman Rink. With his expert knowledge, his understanding of how children learn and his wonderful personality he has endeared himself to each and every student and parent he has worked with. And as a result his clients have become loyal customers of Wollman Rink.
Therefore, we feel that the decision to exclude Coach Cory Sammons from the roster at Wollman Rink, by local Rink Management, is not in the best interest of The Trump Organization, Wollman Rink and the Community as a whole.
