Like many in Walkersville, MD, we regard Coach Clark as more than just a lacrosse coach. At Walkersville High School, he has built the confidence, drive, and motivation of countless impressionable young people, including my own. He is not only a coach, but a mentor, a motivator, and a role figure. His guidance extends beyond the lacrosse field and into the daily lives of his players.

However, the heart of our team has recently been removed from his position. The reasons for this drastic action are not clear, but the impact is stark. We will see not just a decline in our lacrosse team’s performance, but also a drop in the spirit of our students. To ease this distress situation, we request the reinstatement of Coach Clark as the head coach of the Walkersville High School lacrosse team.

Statistics shared by the National Federation of State High School Associations reveal that more than 50% of high school athletes cite their coach as a significant influence on their development. This information clearly highlights the importance of having a coach like Clark.
