Reinstate Charlene Rogers Job After Unjust Dismissal
The Issue
Charlene was unfairly dismissed from her job after being assaulted in a degrading manner by an aggressive, intoxicated male customer. No employee should face such abuse and then lose their livelihood for circumstances beyond their control. Workplace safety and fair treatment are fundamental rights that must be upheld.
We urge LNER to rethink the decision and demonstrate that they really do ‘always care’ and treat safety and wellbeing of colleagues seriously particularly that of female colleagues.
