Due to Covid 19 cervical Screening and routine smears have been paused. There has been no clear date of when they will be back in place. Its a disgrace and negligent towards the women of Ireland.

This Petition is for the HSE and the Government to start back the Cervical testing for women to make their health and wellbeing  be seen as of high importance and a priority especially when reopening the country and not disregarded. 

After the Major Scandal in 2018 which resulted in women losing their lives has the government and HSE not learned from their mistakes and how vital these tests are. Not having testing is only going to lead to a major backlog which a delay in results is damaging the health and well being of the women in this country. Also the impact of not knowing or worry on their mental health should be noted too. 

So please everyone sign this petition for Smear exams to be given a set date ASAP. And should be top agenda when reopening the country.
