I am a student at Piedmont Middle School, and like many of my peers, I found joy in using Blooket. This online platform has been a source of fun and learning for us. However, recently our access to Blooket was blocked by the Piedmont Unified School District (PUSD). This action has not only taken away an important educational tool but also a source of enjoyment that helped us bond as students.

Blooket is more than just a game; it's an innovative educational tool that enhances learning through interactive quizzes and activities. According to EdTech Impact, 96% of teachers reported an increase in student engagement when using gamified platforms like Blooket (EdTech Impact, 2020). It fosters critical thinking skills while making the learning process enjoyable.

We understand that the district may have concerns about online safety or distraction from academic work. However, we believe there are ways to address these issues without completely blocking access to such beneficial tools. We propose implementing stricter guidelines or monitoring systems instead.

We urge PUSD/Piedmont Middle School administration to reconsider their decision and reinstate our access to Blooket. Please sign this petition if you believe in promoting engaging education methods while preserving elements of fun within our school environment.
