Reinstate Air Horn and Lights Celebration After Touchdowns in Leopard Stadium

The Issue

I am a resident in Lovejoy ISD school district, and like many others, I cherish the unique traditions that make our community special. One such tradition is the air horn and lights celebration following a touchdown at Leopard Stadium. This celebration not only adds to the excitement of the game but also fosters a sense of unity among fans and players alike. The air horn blaring and lights flashing used to be a symbol of joy and victory.

Unfortunately, this tradition has been discontinued recently. The absence of this celebratory ritual has left a void in our game day experience. It's not just about celebrating touchdowns; it's about celebrating our shared love for football and our Leopards.

Leopard Stadium is more than just a venue for football games; it's where we come together as a community to support each other. The air horn and stadium lights celebration was a special part of that experience.  According to a survey by ESPN (2019), fan engagement increases by 75% when there are visual and auditory celebrations after touchdowns.

We understand that there may be reasons behind discontinuing this tradition, but we believe its value far outweighs any potential drawbacks. We urge those in charge to consider reinstating it for future games.  This is more than just a call for reinstating an old tradition; it's about reigniting passion in our football community through this shared experience.

Please sign this petition if you too miss the excitement these celebrations bring to fans and players alike! Let’s reclaim our touchdown traditions!
