I, like many others, have found myself in need of essential items during the late hours of the night. Since the onset of Covid-19, all Walmart stores have adjusted their operating hours and no longer provide a 24-hour service. This change has left us without a reliable option for emergency purchases or late-night necessities that cannot be procured from a gas station.

Walmart Superstores are known for their convenience and accessibility, providing an array of products at any given time. According to Statista, as of 2020 there were over 3,570 Walmart Supercenters in the United States alone (source: Statista). These stores serve millions across the country who rely on them not just for regular shopping but also for unexpected needs that may arise outside conventional store hours.

The shift to shorter operating hours due to Covid-19 was understandable as an immediate response to ensure safety. However, with increasing vaccination rates and enhanced safety protocols now in place nationwide, it is time we reconsider this decision.

We urge Walmart management to reinstate their round-the-clock operations across all superstores nationwide. This will not only restore convenience for customers like me but also reinforce Walmart's commitment towards serving its community at all times.
