We Call Upon the Provincial Government To Implement the Following Measures:

1. Continue collecting and reporting on COVID-19 data in all schools

• Waiting until 30% absenteeism puts students, staff, and families at risk. We have a right to know.
• By not providing families will all the information available, they cannot make an informed decision.

2. Provide funding and supplies of N95 or KN95 masks to all students

• With the new variant, this mask upgrade is needed for a safe return.
  N95/KN95 masks provide the best protection against Covid-19
• Many of the already offered masks are an improper match for students

3. Support a “Test to Return” strategy following COVID-19 illness and exposure

• Continued access to PCR testing for schools is also necessary.

4. Fund proper emergency virtual schools

• Currently, the only virtual learning option is the live streaming of in-person classrooms. Students deserve an equal and fair remote learning option.

5. Complete the implementation of proper air filtration systems in all Ontario classrooms

• When all classrooms have appropriate HEPA filters, all staff and students will be safer at school, thus preventing more lockdowns & outbreaks. 
• Progress on this has already been made & it is imperative for staff & student safety that this progress is completed.
