“Reignite a Democratic and Prosperous Australia”

“Reignite a Democratic and Prosperous Australia” Petition
We, the undersigned, believe that certain decisions of the Australian Government have reduced public confidence in governance and affected the well-being of Australians. We are concerned these matters require further consideration and review through appropriate parliamentary processes.
We support a united, democratic Australia where people of all backgrounds live together in harmony. We value multiculturalism and welcome migrants who respect Australia's laws, democratic institutions, culture, and values; whilst maintaining traditions consistent with Australian law.
Australians have 17 concerns requiring urgent attention. Three key issues are: (1) the level of international and domestic organisations’ and interest groups’ taxpayer funding; (2) current immigration settings, including the scale of legal and unlawful immigration, causing immense pressures on housing, infrastructures and essential services, and consistent enforcement of immigration and criminal laws; (3) the volume and impact of recent legislation, particularly tax measures on Australians and businesses.
Information on ALL issues is contained in a separate document we wished could accompany this petition.
We urge the House of Representatives consider these concerns and take appropriate lawful parliamentary action, including reviewing relevant policies, processes and measures available to restore public confidence.
We further urge comprehensive reviews of recent and proposed legislation and policies; stronger support for Australians and businesses; and full enforcement of immigration and citizenship laws - including enactment of legislation for deportation and/or revocation of citizenship to deal with criminal offences. We also request legislation be enacted for the same legal measures applying to returning ISIS-affiliated individuals.
