People like you have called on REI to take action on PFAS “forever chemicals” in so many different ways for over a year now. More than 100,000 people have signed petitions, emailed the CEO, and called customer service.

Unfortunately, the fact is REI has still not agreed to stop using PFAS in all of their clothing and gear!

REI has yet to take action, so we are! During the week of September 19, people from across the country will visit REI stores in-person to make their voices heard. As part of our national PFAS week of action, we urge REI to tell PFAS to take a hike!

To solve the PFAS pollution crisis, we need responsible companies like REI to take a stand. That’s why we’ve been working with you and thousands of other concerned customers to convince company leadership to stop selling products with these chemicals and use safer alternatives. 

The time for action is now. We know that detections of these harmful chemicals are doubling in breast milk every four years! And we know that when chemicals are banned they don’t get into people–it’s that simple. 

With your support, we can persuade the company to make a bold move. Together, we can convince them to stop selling any products that contain these chemicals, which are polluting our drinking water, bodies, and food.
