The Issue

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital have removed work created by children based in Gaza, at the request of UK Lawyers for Israel

The UKLFI were petitioned by ‘Jewish patients at the hospital who claimed to be vulnerable and victimised’ when they looked at the painted plates on the wall. They did not like seeing a Palestinian flag over the Temple Mount, claiming this is a holy site in Judaism, when in fact it is shared with Christianity, and Islam for thousands of years.

In 2021, the UKLFI pressured the University of Manchester’s Whitworth Gallery into censoring content within an exhibition by Forensic Architecture. And in recent years they submitted three complaints to the Charity Commission about organisations supporting Palestinian human rights, all of which were rejected. Now they are targeting children’s art projects.

These Children are victims of war crimes and not terrorist. The works where produced at two United Nations based school in Gaza. Why are we censoring children’s voices and artworks at large?

This urgent petitions goal is to rehang the artwork by the Children of Gaza at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. It will be sent to the director of the Hospital and to UKLFI as well shared with other Palestinian organisations and charity's.

Stop the censorship of Palestinian Art! Please re share and Sign today
