We are standing with my family, friends, schoolmates, and relatives today to raise a concern that affects us all - the unregulated use of artificial intelligence (AI). The transformative power of AI is undeniable. Today, it's embedded in various aspects of our lives, from personalized recommendations on streaming platforms to autonomous driving technologies.

However, unregulated use of AI also poses a significant threat. For instance, there are potential privacy issues as AI systems are often trained on massive datasets that could include sensitive information. There have also been instances where AI algorithms, unconstrained by ethical guidelines, have resulted in unfair or biased outcomes.

According to a study by the AI Now Institute at New York University, AI systems are "producing increasingly widespread social impacts, including large-scale surveillance, influencing public debate and manipulating electoral processes." This underscores the urgent need for change.

Therefore, we urge our policy makers to implement strict regulations to oversee the use of AI. It's our right to demand safeguards that protect us from potential bias, invasion of privacy, and other forms of harm arising from unrestricted AI use. Regulations should mandate transparency, prohibit harmful use, and ensure that the benefits of AI are shared equitably within our society.
