For myself and many of my neighbors, the ongoing noise issue with the Mexican rodeo also known as Lienzo EL Tejano on 157 FM in Venus, Texas is a major cause of distress. We have not been able to sleep on Fridays or Saturdays because of the loud music coming from the rodeo. The noise levels are so high that they can be heard 5 miles away in Mansfield, Texas.

This continuous disturbance interferes not only with our sleep but also with quiet enjoyment of our homes at all hours. Music, if played at high decibels, can disrupt sleep patterns and cause other health concerns (American Psychological Association). Moreover, our attempts to communicate and resolve the issue with the organizers of the rodeo have proved fruitless.

We are calling on the local authorities to enforce existing noise control laws or if necessary, establish new, stricter regulations in the interest of maintaining community peace and individual health. The rights and needs of the local community residents should be upheld. Let's ensure everyone can enjoy their peace and quiet at home.
