I am a concerned electric vehicle (EV) owner who, like many others, is feeling the pinch of unreasonably high costs associated with EV charging. This issue not only affects our pockets but also discourages people from making the switch to more environmentally friendly transportation options.

No competition, what seems as price fixing leading to inflated prices. Furthermore, public EV charging pricing is not pegged to the energy market, leading to profiteering at the expense of consumers and without any governance.

Whilst installations are expensive some government funding was provided and rates are inflated. 

By regulating EV charging prices according to energy market rates, we could encourage more people to adopt this sustainable mode of transport.

This petition calls for fair regulation in this sector that will protect consumers from being ripped off while also promoting environmental sustainability. It's time we put an end to these unfair practices and make owning an electric vehicle affordable for everyone.
