Hi, 

I've created this so that I may have a chance to audition for the role of Virgil Hawkins in the developing live action Static Shock movie. My goal is to show you the potential in casting choice with some cool comparisons and to show you that I have some working knowledge of the industry. The video above is a quick compilation for comparisons and I may update it in the near future, but I wanted to get this up and rolling as soon as possible, but at the same time I'd rather you see the potential over seeing a set-in-stone concept. I am not new to film sets and I have acted, edited, and written scripts, but most of my attention has been in the music/sound and post-production side of entertainment, though many of the creative elements are the same: I've even set up lighting and decor for an interview with Nicki Minaj and I've assisted in various creative spaces that directly serve celebrity clientele. So true to life, I am a background editing guy and sound nerd. I know I'd be up against some amazing actors and that's why I'm asking for an audition versus a golden pass. I feel like the right pairing would allow the role to flow automatically.

I would think skating skills would come in handy. The only thing I've done longer than work in the entertainment industry is actually skating. I am very much so a "skater-dude". I've done it for sixteen years and have long boarded for ten of those years. I use to longboard to the train, catch the train to the bus, then the bus to the city, and then skate to my gigs.

I'd bring professionalism and coach-ability to this opportunity. I know that I have a few years on a lot of other candidates, but I'd also be representing the generation that got up on those Saturday mornings to watch Static. Somehow, I look like I'm barely in my young 20's, so I could represent the character as well as the generation that grew up missing his mainstream presence. 

Overall, this is something that's been on my mind for years; it's something that I've planned to incorporate into my own creative outlet musically and visually and this just seems like a fast track opportunity to really be about it. 

This will be shared directly with Hudlin Entertainment and I'm hoping that your support will give this thing a little momentum. I'd like to see what happens.
