Refuse Moto's Planning Application for a Service Station on M25 Between J 28 and J 27

Refuse Moto's Planning Application for a Service Station on M25 Between J 28 and J 27
The Issue
As a local resident, I see every day how our green belt thrives with an overflowing abundance of wildlife. This area, nestled between J28 and J27 of the M25, is under threat from Moto's proposed service station, which starkly represents the encroaching urbanisation of our cherished green spaces. This isn't just an attack on nature—it is an attack on our community.
With lorries rumbling through local roads, servicing the site will result in hundreds of daily vehicle movements. Our peace would be shattered, with noise disruption becoming a common problem, disturbing us in our own homes. The increased traffic will lead to heightened pollution levels, jeopardising our health and the purity of our surrounding environment. Additionally, the additional transport is sure to cause wear and tear on our already fragile roads, which are poorly maintained as it stands.
A study showed that exposure to traffic-related air pollution contributed to mortality related to cardiovascular diseases (Source: Environmental Health Perspectives). Thus, our concern is not just about the inconvenience of traffic, but also about the potential health risks it implies for local residents. The proposed service station will adversely affect not just our lives, but the lives of the entire local community, including local wildlife.
For these reasons, I urge Brentwood Council to refuse Moto's application for a service station that could irreversibly damage our local environment and community. Every single signature carries weight and sends a message to the Council that we value our green spaces and wish to protect the health and wellbeing of our community. Please sign this petition today. Help us conserve the local area and keep it green. Let's stand against more urbanisation and the threats it brings, to us all.
