Refund for Attendees Affected by the Sound Issues at Shadmehr Aghili’s Vancouver Concert
The Issue
On July 18, 2026, thousands of fans attended Shadmehr Aghili’s concert at the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver expecting the high-quality performance they had paid for.
Unfortunately, many attendees—particularly those seated in the balcony sections—experienced serious sound problems from the beginning of the concert. The performance started later than scheduled, and during the first songs, the vocals and music were extremely difficult to hear due to major audio issues.
As the problems continued, many audience members became frustrated and left their seats to seek help. Long lines formed at Customer Service, where attendees’ names, email addresses, and ticket information were collected for refund requests.
During the event, repeated announcements were made telling audience members that if they were not happy with the situation, they could leave and request a refund. Many people relied on those announcements when deciding to leave the venue. Numerous attendees witnessed these announcements, and many also recorded videos during the event.
However, after the concert, many refund requests were denied. The explanation later provided by the promoter was inconsistent with what many attendees say they were told inside the venue that night.
This petition is not asking for anything unreasonable.
We are simply asking the promoter to honor the refund instructions that many attendees relied upon and to provide full refunds to ticket holders whose concert experience was significantly affected by the sound problems.
Many people paid hundreds of dollars, travelled to attend the concert, waited through long delays, and left only after being told that dissatisfied attendees could request refunds.
If you experienced the same situation, or believe attendees should be treated fairly, please sign this petition.
We respectfully ask the concert promoter to:
Provide full refunds to attendees whose concert experience was significantly affected by the audio problems.
Honor the refund instructions that many attendees say were announced during the event.
Communicate transparently and fairly with affected customers.
Every signature helps show that this was not an isolated complaint and that affected attendees deserve a fair resolution.
Thank you for your support.
