I, like many others, have family members who arrived in the UK under a Healthcare Skilled Worker Visa. They came with hopes of a better life and opportunities to work. However, they are now stranded due to their sponsors not having enough work for them. The current visa conditions tie these skilled workers to their sponsors, leaving them helpless if their sponsor cannot provide adequate employment.

This situation is not unique to my family; it affects thousands of people who come here seeking opportunities only to find themselves struggling for survival because they are tied down by restrictive visa conditions. Their income depends solely on how much work their sponsor can provide - less work means less pay.

I am calling on the Home Office to reconsider these conditions and allow skilled workers arriving in the UK on this visa type freedom to work for any sponsor within the Health Care Sector. This change would prevent skilled workers from being left stranded upon arrival and ensure that they can sustain a living regardless of their initial sponsor's circumstances.

The time has come for us all - as citizens, as human beings - to stand up for those whose voices are often unheard or ignored. Let's help our fellow humans live decent lives by giving them fair opportunities at employment within our health care sector.
