Hello, my name is Mary Perry. I have a brother named Robert Lee Perry, who is serving LIFE in prison for drug charges because of a bill that was passed in 1994, largely pushed by then-Senator Joe Biden, now President Joe Biden and 2024 Presidential Candidate. I understand and agree with the principle that if you do the crime, you do the time. But is LIFE really the appropriate sentence for a Brother, Son, Father, Grandfather when murderers often receive only 20 years? We need this law changed to ensure fairer sentencing.
