As a landlord in Ontario, I am calling on the Ontario Government to urgently reform the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) and the Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) processes.

 Many landlords across Ontario are suffering due to a system that is unbalanced and easily exploited by bad-faith tenants. Delayed hearings, endless appeals, and lack of enforcement are causing severe emotional and financial distress. Some tenants live rent-free for months or even years while landlords are left helpless.

 We are calling for the following reforms:

 1. Expedited eviction process for non-paying tenants

 2. Stricter enforcement of LTB decisions and reduced hearing delays

 3. Equal protection of rights for landlords under the law

 4. Penalties for tenants who abuse the system with bad-faith claims

 The current laws are outdated and are pushing honest landlords out of the housing market. If housing supply is to remain stable, landlords must feel legally protected and fairly treated.
