I am Riday Vishwas, a student who believes that India's education system has enormous potential but requires meaningful reforms to prepare students for the future.

Millions of students work tirelessly every year, yet many face an education system that often emphasizes rote memorization over understanding, creates immense pressure through high-stakes examinations, and does not adequately equip learners with practical life skills.

While India has introduced positive reforms such as the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, many challenges remain in implementation. Students deserve an education system that is fair, transparent, skill-oriented, and focused on learning rather than only examination scores.

 

We Request the Following Reforms

1. Strong measures to prevent paper leaks, including improved cybersecurity, secure logistics, independent investigations, and strict accountability for those responsible.

2. Greater emphasis on conceptual understanding, critical thinking, scientific reasoning, creativity, and problem-solving instead of rote memorization.

3. Integration of financial literacy, digital literacy, legal awareness, mental health education, first aid, and career guidance into the school curriculum.

4. Expansion of practical learning through laboratories, research projects, internships, field visits, and real-world applications.

5. Improved teacher training and continuous professional development to enhance classroom teaching.

6. Better infrastructure in government schools, including laboratories, libraries, internet access, sports facilities, and sanitation.

7. Fair and transparent examination processes with timely grievance redressal for students.

8. Increased support for students from economically weaker and rural backgrounds to reduce educational inequality.

9. Reduced unnecessary academic burden while maintaining high educational standards.

10. Greater student participation in education policy discussions through structured consultation mechanisms.

 

Why This Matters

India's future depends on the quality of its education. Every student deserves an environment where effort is rewarded fairly, examinations are secure, and education prepares them not only for exams but also for careers, citizenship, and lifelong learning.

These reforms will strengthen public trust, improve educational outcomes, promote innovation, and help India build a more skilled and competitive workforce.
